26 June 2006
Secretary General
Revision of pay of employees of Non-commercial State Sponsored Bodies in grades represented by the Civil, Public and Services Union - Application of increases under Section 14.2 of the Mid Term Review of Part Two of Sustaining Progress
Dear Secretary General
As you are aware, my letter of 30 May 2006 sanctioned the application of the 2.5% pay increase, with effect from 1 June 2006, to the pay of employees (other than those listed in paragraph 4) of the non-commercial state sponsored bodies (NCSSBs) under the aegis of your Department.
I am now directed by the Minister for Finance to convey sanction for the payment of the 2.5% increase to the basic pay of grades in non-commercial State sponsored bodies represented by the Civil, Public and Services Union. This sanction is subject to the same provisions as set down in my 30 May letter – including the requirement that the increase is only paid to the grades for which it has been considered that the progress achieved and verified is satisfactory. Otherwise no increases in pay should be applied. The verification arrangements are outlined in the letter of 23 June 2003 from the Secretary General (PSMD), Mr Eddie Sullivan. In the event that you consider that payment of the increases is not warranted or where there are claims that might be considered to be in breach of the agreement or that you have any pay-related query in respect of employees in NCSSBs, you may wish to contact
