Ireland has successfully concluded the sixth review of the Programme with the EU Commission, the ECB and the IMF. In line with each of the previous five quarterly reviews Ireland has continued to achieve all of the targets set under our programme of assistance.
The Minister for Finance, Michael Noonan T.D., noted the publication of the end-March Maastricht returns for Ireland today (23rd April 2012) by Eurostat and the publication of the key tables and information note on the Department of Finance website. On publication, the Minister stated:
The Minister for Finance welcomes today (18th April, 2012) publication by the Commission on Credit Unions of its Report on the future of the credit union movement. He would like to compliment the Commission on the quality of the Report. Its in-depth analysis and far reaching recommendations will mark a fundamental turning point in the development of the credit union movement in Ireland.

The Minister for Finance, Mr. Michael Noonan, T.D., today (30th March) welcomed the first disbursement of €100 million funds from Denmark following the signature of a €400 bilateral loan agreement with Denmark on 21st March 2012 as part of the EU/IMF Programme of Support.
Further to his announcement of the appointment of Mr. Michael Geoghegan as Chairman of the NAMA Advisory Group on 8th December, 2011, the Minister for Finance is pleased to announce today (7th March 2012) the members of and the terms and reference of the group.
